Wildlife lovers will find plenty to marvel at here. Keep an eye out for red deer grazing in the glens, pine martens darting through the trees, or golden eagles soaring overhead. The nearby Ardnamurchan Peninsula is one of the UK’s best spots for spotting otters, seals, and even dolphins if you're lucky. With well-marked walking routes, hidden beaches, and nature reserves all within easy reach, Resipole Farm offers a gateway to authentic Highland adventure — wild, serene, and unforgettable.
You don’t need to leave Resipole Farm Holiday Park to enjoy the area’s incredible wildlife. From the loch to the treetops, nature is all around. Otters, seals, and even porpoises are sometimes seen in the water, while red and roe deer wander nearby and pine martens occasionally appear at dusk.
Birdlife is abundant, with species like cuckoos, woodpeckers, warblers, and swallows filling the air with sound. Water birds such as herons, mallards, and black-throated divers frequent the shoreline, and lucky visitors might spot birds of prey like buzzards, golden eagles, or even sea eagles soaring above.
Ben Resipole, rising 845 metres behind the park, is a rewarding walk with stunning views of Ardnamurchan, the Inner Hebrides, and Ben Nevis on clear days. The path starts from the campsite and follows ancient burial routes once leading to St Finan’s grave on nearby Loch Shiel.
For easier walks, explore woodland trails to the Bay of Flies or Salen Oakwood, home to the Gaelic Alphabet Trail and rich in wildlife like woodpeckers and lichens. Cyclists can enjoy scenic routes along Loch Sunart, while the Garbh Eilean Hide offers a peaceful spot to watch seals, otters, and birds of prey. Please follow the Scottish Outdoor Access Code and close gates behind you.
